David, a freelance photographer based in Mandurah, Western Australia, began his professional career in England as a press and commercial photographer. After relocating to Australia, he initially worked for Kodak in Sydney before deciding to pursue work as a freelance photographer

David worked on various television series and feature films as a stills photographer. During a television production in Queensland, he met Ron and Val Taylor, cinematographers responsible for filming the underwater sequences for the series Barrier Reef. This experience sparked his interest in underwater photography.

After relocating to Perth on the West Coast, and having learnt to scuba dive he continued to hone his skills in this emerging field while working in the commercial and fashion sectors, eventually becoming an award-winning documentary cameraman.

David established a scuba training centre in Mandurah, specialising in underwater photography,

Throughout his career, David has travelled extensively throughout Australia, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, capturing a diverse portfolio of images from both above and below the oceans.

Today, David continues to refine his skills in nature and travel photography, as well as crafting fine-art gallery prints.
